Birkdale is a 40-minute drive from Brisbane CBD and a 1-hour drive from the Gold Coast, accessible via the Pacific Motorway (M1). In the heart of the suburb, the Birkdale train station connects the area to the rest of Brisbane through the Cleveland line, with a travel time of 50 minutes to Central Station. Various bus routes, including the 254, travel throughout Birkdale and its surrounding suburbs, such as Capalaba, Alexandra Hills, and Wellington Point. Although Birkdale is located on the far east side of Brisbane by the water, it remains well-connected to the city through numerous public transport options and accessible roads.

The precinct is restoring Willards Farm to honour the historical farming land on which Birkdale was built. It will feature Birkdale's first public swimming pool, numerous playgrounds, entertainment areas, and natural trails.

Additionally, the precinct will house the Redland Resilience Training Facility & Whitewater Centre, which will serve as the host venue for water sports in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Rental Market Situation

Whether you are renting or buying, availability for households and apartments is currently limited. However, as the population growth is set to increase alongside the development of the Birkdale Community Precinct, additional housing is expected to be developed. The Redland City Council has already approved a subdivision for residential housing off Old Cleveland Road. Due to the area's projected community growth and development, buyers must act quickly to secure a property.
